Excellent place! We stopped by around 6 pm for a coffee and a slice of cake, which we know isnโ€™t very common in Australia. The lemon pie was very good, although it could be improved a bit. The service was very friendly. We didnโ€™t have dinner, but we saw the dishes served at other tables and they looked very tempting. Highly recommended.

Ordered pie and coffee for 2. Sidewalk cafe. Great to people watch and relax. Apple pie was good. Espresso crunch pie lacked espresso flavor. Apple pie was nice with diced apples. Like eating an apple which is a good thing. Waitress brought our coffee and spilled the cream all over my boyfriend from his jacket to his pants and even his shoes. She apologized profusely but there was no offer to remove anything from our bill. I guess itโ€™s common to spill beverages on the customers at this cafe. We expect a different level of customer service I guess.

cappuccino/matcha latte we had with their pecan pie that staff recommended were the perfect desserts:) Pecan pie was in a soft, moist cake form. Itโ€™s decadent without being overly sweet. Espresso Almond Cake that we ordered gave wonderful, dense crumb, and the espresso notes are bold and aromatic. Itโ€™s the perfect companion to a hot coffee :) Atmosphere is peaceful and incredibly photogenic in The Rocks with modern & old buildings around. Two thumbs up for this cafe :)

Visited The Rocks Cafรฉ in Sydney, and it perfectly captured the charm of The Rocks area. Enjoyed a cold beer while sitting outside, watching people stroll through the cobblestone streets. The cafรฉ had a warm, old-town vibe with friendly service and a laid-back atmosphere. They also offer a solid menu of classic Australian dishes and desserts, so itโ€™s great for both meals and drinks. Itโ€™s one of those spots where you can slow down, enjoy the moment, and soak in Sydneyโ€™s history. Highly recommend for an afternoon beer or casual lunch.

I visited The Rocks Cafe in Sydney on November 1, 2025 with colleagues, and had such a great experience. It was my first time traveling to Australia and it was really nice to try their menu. The place has a great vibe with friendly staff, especially David, and has a cozy atmosphere. I tried kangaroo steak for the first time and it was a bit gamey but actually pretty good. I had it in medium rare. The chicken penne and calamari was also delicious, and the chips with truffle dip were amazing. We paired our meal with mocktails in passion and peach spritz, which went perfectly with the food. For the dessert, mud cake was so good I would go back just for that! Lemon meringue is just not for me but my colleagues loved it. The vanilla ice cream on the lemon meringue, that one I super duper love! Great spot in The Rocks and perfect for trying some Aussie dishes.
