We had an incredible experience at The Lab in Brisbaneโwhat a great way to kick off an amazing day! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and beautifully presented dishes that everyone at our table loved. The staff were exceptionalโfriendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to accommodate our group of seven, making sure we had a large table without any fuss, even during a busy time. What really stood out was how fantastic they were with our kidsโengaging, patient, and warm, which made the whole visit feel even more special. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, with just the right balance of energy and charm. Whether youโre visiting with friends, family, or flying solo, The Lab is a standout spot in Brisbane that delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend it!
Came for high tea yesterday. I arrived before my friend, but they were unable to locate the reservation. They were so lovely and let me sit down. They asked me if I had any allergies and brought me a juice while I waited. Loved the presentation and fine china used. There were a range of savoury and sweet dishes on offer. Not sure if the items were made in house. I did enjoy it. We had our fair share of food but could not finish it. Mind you I also had two pots of lemon & ginger tea. It was a lovely atmosphere, and the waitstaff were very attentive. Yet to try the other menu items.
Lovely high tea experience! I was pleasantly surprised by this high tea experience and will definitely return! The food was lovely, as was the presentation! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the whole experience was just what youโd expect! *Good Portions โ Quite generous portions and we both received our own towers of food as we had differing dietary requirements! I was amazed at the amount for the price and left full and happy! *Nice Flavours โ The flavours of the variety of foods were really enjoyable! So many different savories, desserts and scones to enjoy! *Lovely Presentation โ The setup of the China service to the attention to detail on the food was really something! I felt like I was in England again and it was just a nice afternoon! *Free Parking โ You get free parking at the treasury if you meet the minimum spend ($100) so that was a nice surprise! It was convenient to enjoy our afternoon tea and not have to worry about parking!
I booked for the Spring Racing High Tea. The food was really good. Full of flavour, & definitely fresh. I cannot fault the service, our waiter returned plenty of times to refill our glasses. And only once did we have to flag someone down so we could have coffee/tea. My one complaint would be, that we had booked approximately 1 month before. We booked the cheaper version ( so not the bottomless champagne), on arrival, our waiter asked if we would like champagne, so we said yes, not realising that this would be the dearer version & not just a complimentary single glass. Management needs to have their staff be aware of what we have booked, OR should check to see if parties want an upgrade
Breakfast at The Lab is a refined event. The staff are welcoming, and the service they provide is top-class. The food is excellent, and the portion sizes are perfect. The decor fits with the heritage of the building. While dining here, you can only imagine what stories these walls could tell.
