There is an unlikely little street garden on Oxford, lovely to sit in. The indoors are lofty, with multiple seating options for various numbers and constellations of diners. I had a chorizo-centred improvisation on Eggs Benedict, and it was very satisfying. The coffee was good. The staff exuded a wide range of emotions - from grumpy to happy, without letting that affect the efficiency of service. All in all, a nice start of the day.

Damn…I felt ignored this time. I had a question cause I wanted to add the information to this review and I kept being told “give me 2 minutes” and they never came back so eventually I just paid my bill and left. Idk why this happened; I am the reviewer that told everyone to come here 😬🫢🤨 Before if I had a question someone would explain to me what I wanted to know. What changed like overnight? Cause my review was 5 stars and like this: This restaurant is the greatest! 🏆 The staff are lovely! 😇✨ The Bloody Marys are lovely! 😋 That was my favourite thing to have after a night out before going to bed 😊 The chips are on point too! ✨ The decor and setting is heavenly. One of my absolute favourite spots! The staff are always warm, welcoming and make you feel right at home. The food is consistently delicious — fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. And the coffee… simply perfect every time ☕️ Whether it’s a relaxed brunch or a quick catch-up, Highly recommend! Very popular with the locals and gets busy Saturday mornings

I adore SoJo, it is legendary in my mind and in the local artsy community. I have been going there for years. You can tell it's a love project, but also a smart one. They are always busy, and it's impossible to get a park but it's excellent! Great atmosphere, lovely interior design (the loos are beautiful!). Somehow dark and warm, cool and beautiful. There's a gorgeous fireplace, deep in the cavern-like space, with many seating options including couches, booth seating and tables inside and out. Most importantly they have excellent food – made with care and not just the same as every other place in Melbourne! My favourite thing about them it they are the only place that does a proper pot of tea – in a silver tea pot with porcelain cup and everything. Love it!

Fantastic place, loved it. Wanted to try so many things but the portions were quite big. Loved that the staff gave the suggestion for half portions - so that we wouldn’t waste food, and could try more dishes. Also, the chai latte was fantastic!!!
