When I sat down I instantly knew I had to give this place a review! We came in a little before 3 and the kitchen was closed but the staff were so kind and still gave the best service! I had the mushroom and cheese toastie and it was phenomenal! Toasted to perfection, mushrooms were umami and cheese was cheesing✨ I also had the iced matcha latte and it’s one of the higher quality matchas in Canberra. She was a bit on the vegetal side but in a good way. But the star of the show was defo the Cinnamon Scroll Cookie! Soft and had a strong cinnamon punch which I personally liked. Ambience was also very nice. 10/10 would come back again!

Never knew this café was here! Well hidden unfortunately by all the work going on, however inside is very spacious and very nice! The food and coffee was great, serviced with a can do attitude, you just can't go wrong!

The service and venue are fantastic. The food was also great, big serves. The only reason I have 4 stars for the Maple Porridge was because the centre of the banana was black, yes, on its way out, best used for banana bread or muffin.

Absolutely phenomenal! The coffee was spot on and came out quick, and the food followed shortly after - perfectly timed. I had the chilli scrambled eggs, Dad had the beef croquette and Mum got the eggs on toast, they were all outstanding in flavour and presentation. The atmosphere here is warm and inviting, and the staff couldn’t have been more polite, friendly and respectful. Great coffee, great food, great service - Roy Jr. is a winner all round. Highly highly recommend!!! 5 stars

One of the best Cafes you can find Canberra 🙌🏻 Last Monday we arrived Roy Jr at 11am and there’s only one FOH server. Yet he did his best to serve every customers with smile and his great attitude is already a +💯 before having the coffee and food. Roy Jr.’s doing breakfast menu (before 11.30am) and lunch menu (after 11.30am). While a few choices are available for both menus, me and my partner were interested in the Roasted Cauliflower which is on the lunch menu. The server was being really helpful that he preordered the lunch dish for us and the dish has been served at 11.30am 🫰🏻 Beside of the great service, coffee are nice, food as well! I haven’t had such a full brunch in a while after settled in Canberra! Food portions are so generous! And they taste just as delicious as they look! Nothing greasy and heavy. Everything nicely sautéed/ poached/ toasted (look at the full breakfast!) Chef did a good job on my Bruschetta with having a bit of sourness and crunchy beans to remove the oiliness of the avocado mash. The atmosphere of Roy Jr.‘s overall good 👍🏻 We are appreciated with this wonderful dining experience ❤️ Thank you Team Roy Jr!
