Incredible birria, which is on par with their Darlinghurst location. Large serving which is always appreciated. Only took 15 minutes from ordering on a weekend at 7pm. A few parking spots onsite too.

The birria tacos are so good like so good. The nachos are ok. The wait was really long like 40 minutes and there was only 2 other people there.

Checked out this taco food truck after seeing all the hype on social media and hearing some solid recommendations — expectations were high! But honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, my tacos came on flour tortillas (not sure if they know, but corn tortillas really bring out the best in tacos). On top of that, the tortillas were a little burnt. Nothing crazy, but it did take away from the flavor. Also waited about 30 minutes even though there were only like 3 people ahead of me in line and a few sitting down — kind of long for a food truck. That said… the consommé? 🔥 Seriously, it was amazing. Super flavorful and comforting. I also wanted to try the elote, but they were out. All in all, not a bad spot if you’re in the area.

Just had some of the best tacos in Carlton – no exaggeration. The flavours were bold, authentic, and cooked to perfection. From the juicy pulled pork to the zesty grilled chicken, every bite hit the spot. And the chargrilled corn on the side? Unreal. Smoky, buttery, and just the right kick of spice – definitely a highlight. The venue has that perfect balance of laid-back and lively – colourful decor, great music, and a fun, street-food vibe. It’s the kind of spot you could easily chill at for hours. Customer service was top-notch – friendly, fast, and genuinely helpful. The staff took time to recommend their favourites and even brought extra hot sauce when they saw we were fans of spice. Only thing we’d love to see improved? Maybe a few more drink options – like Coke, Sprite to round off the meal. If you’re anywhere near Carlton and craving tacos (and some killer corn) – don’t walk, run. This spot delivers flavour, vibes, and friendly faces. 💯

Absolutely loved Papi’s Birria! Food was 5/5 – the tacos and tortillas were both delicious, with bold flavours and not at all oily. They tasted quite similar, but each was satisfying in its own right. Service was excellent – super friendly with a big smile Atmosphere was decent – 4/5. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough to enjoy the meal. Highly recommend for a tasty, no-fuss feed!
