I am genuinely offended by the level of service at this café. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that customer care was not a priority. We were seated at a table that was still covered with dirty plates and leftovers from the previous customers. No one bothered to clean it until we had to explicitly ask — something that should never be the customer’s responsibility. There was effectively no service at all. Everything was pushed onto a QR code ordering system, which might be convenient if the basics were handled properly — but they weren’t. Staff were present, yet completely inattentive and disengaged, offering zero assistance or hospitality. The worst part was the food safety issue. We were served Irish pork sausages that were clearly undercooked. This is not a minor mistake — it is a serious health concern. When we raised the issue, there was no urgency, no apology, and no real attempt to fix the problem. The dish was not properly replaced, nor was any genuine effort made to correct the situation. Overall, the experience was disappointing, unhygienic, and frankly disrespectful to customers. Cleanliness, basic service, and properly cooked food are the bare minimum expectations for any café. Sadly, this place failed on all three. I would not recommend it to anyone who values basic standards of hospitality or food safety. Plus bird poop.

Everything was amazing, no notes. And the COFFEE 😮 The place itself is so lovely too, inside and out.

Had the English Breakfast here and it was pretty yum. Ordered a side of fries too which was equally delicious and crunchy. Good place for a brunch.

I visited Nine yards again for the third time last week! Every time the food has been amazing. Staff are very friendly and attentive too. Definitely my favourite brunch spot in Melbourne. The eggs bene with smoked salmon is my favourite.

Had an amazing brunch today with my partner and we were so impressed by the prawn chilli toast. Wow!! Great stuff. Our waitress Vivi was very sweet and helpful when we had questions about the menu. I will definitely be back ❤️🙌🏻
