Stumbled by this cafe by accident, but so glad I found it! Daniel and his team are very friendly and welcoming. The coffee is always good and they have lots of yummy food - I had the avo toast and it was very fresh. Everything looks like itโs made to order, but they do have some grab and go options too. Looking forward to checking out their lunch options soon too!
The avo toast and coffee were lovely, however I was disappointed to be charged more than the price advertised on the counter menu. Had I been given the dine-in menu when I sat down, I could have made a more informed choice. When I queried the higher price at payment, I was told itโs โdressed differently when served dine inโ โ which, on reflection, doesnโt feel like a reasonable explanation given it was simply avocado on toast with no extras. Please make it clearer to customers that there is a different menu and pricing for dine-in orders.
A very decent spot for coffee in Martin Place. I hadnโt been here in about four years, but I dropped by today and grabbed a regular cappuccinoโit was served nice and warm, with a great roast flavour. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Glad I came back!
This cafe does excellent espresso, and the avocado on toast is the best Iโve ever had. It was delicious, and a great twist with the fresh cucumber. Added grilled halloumi, as itโs a personal favourite on such breakfasts, and it hit the spot, yum. If youโre in Martin Place and want a great coffee, hit up Hill Bros Cafe!
This city is a cut throat world. The coffee can't be ok, it has to be good or better. Here the coffee is very good, and that's no easy feature with me. The congee is terrific. The mushie melt deflates like a tac in a tyre. The shrooms are good quality and well prepared, but so few that they barely rate a mention. The bread too is nothing special, and the whole thing is a zero next to the really wonderful congee, which delights with complexity and depth. I'm asked about our meal. I say what I just reported. No response. Ok, I'll move on!
