First time checking out this beautiful venue! I visited on 8/01/26 around 10:30am. Be aware it was very busy here and a lot of seating where taken up. I order Iced Mocha -and Chill egg bagel. Cost me $28 all up. Coffee was nice and food was nice as well. Defeinfly place to check out :)
This morning at Heydays, the spotlight belongedâwithout questionâto Jas, the barista affectionately known as the cheetah pants girl. And let it be said: she did far more than redeem herself⊠she owned the entire room. Her customer service was nothing short of impeccable. Every interaction felt genuine, every smile sincere, every coffee made with the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from someone who truly cares about their craft. She remembered orders, read the room effortlessly, and handled the morning rush with a level of grace most baristas only dream of. And then thereâs the outfit. As always, Jas delivered a full slayâcheetah pants and all. Bold, unapologetic, and somehow perfectly in tune with the Heydays vibe. Itâs impossible not to admire someone who can whip up a flawless coffee while serving runway energy at 8 a.m. In short, Jas didnât just show up todayâshe served. Heydays is lucky to have her, and honestly, so are we.
In a world overflowing with overengineered sandwiches, the vodka alla chicken toastie at Heydays CafĂ© feels like a quiet triumphâan example of how balance, restraint, and culinary intuition can elevate something humble into something genuinely memorable. The first bite announces itself with contrast: the golden crunch of toasted bread giving way to tender chicken, its coating still audibly crisp beneath the layers. But itâs the sauce duet that steals the spotlight. The vodka alla sauce brings a velvety richnessâcreamy, tangy, and subtly sweetâwhile the pesto winds through it like an aromatic green ribbon. The basil, the parmesan, the garlic⊠all brightening the decadence rather than competing with it. Itâs a thoughtful partnership, one that shows the team at Heydays truly understands both flavour and restraint. Much of this artistry can be credited to Jas, whose delicate hands have woven this masterpiece of a toastie with the kind of touch only a confident cook possesses. Thereâs a precision in the way each element is placedâbalanced, intentional, and deeply attuned to how intense flavours can coexist without overwhelming the palate. Then, of course, the final flourish: a scatter of sea-salt flakes across the top, glistening like it was sprinkled at the very moment before serving. Each flake sharpens the richness and deepens the savoury edges of the chicken, transforming the toastie from âcomfort foodâ to âcomfort food with intent.â And just when you think the experience has peaked, Maisy steps in with her own craftâthe house-made sugar syrup and sea-salt cold foam that accompany the toastie are nothing short of art. The syrup brings a quiet, rounded sweetness, while the cold foam sits atop with cloud-like elegance, perfectly salted and impossibly smooth. Itâs a pairing executed with the finesse of someone who truly understands flavour architecture. Together, Jas and Maisy form a culinary duetâone constructing texture and depth, the other offering contrast and lift. Altogether, itâs a deceptively simple offering executed with a chefâs precisionâcrunch, cream, herbaceous brightness, and that perfect saline spark. A toastie that doesnât need to shout for attention, because it earns itâquietly, confidently, and deliciously.
Warm vibes, delicious food, and great coffee. A place to relax, enjoy, and create lasting memories
Iâve been wanting to try this cafe for a while now as I have heard good things about it. Today decided to visit for a quick lunch. My food took a while to come and arrived burnt and not enjoyable . The bagel buns were hard to bite and they were visibly burnt. I was really hungry and ate most of it but now thinking back I should have said something as paying 14$ to eat burnt food isnât a nice feeling . Had it not been burnt it would have been a good bagel. Iâm disappointed that they saw that it was burnt and still served it to me anyway âŠ
