Girdlers Café - Manly
Short St Plaza, Manly NSW 2095, Australia
About
Food took 45 minutes to arrive with no prior warning from staff. The buckwheat salmon crepe was not good and cost $28 - despite the menu stating smoked salmon, it looked more like canned salmon, and there was barely any salmon on the crepe. On the other hand, the avocado toast was delicious. Best bacon and egg roll I had during my one month stay in Sydney, with the absolute best bacon, and had it twice during my trip. Also, the only place that serves a good proper gluten free roll with the glute

Stopped here for brunch recently. The food was all good, but nothing incredible. We spent $70, which feels expensive for what it is. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great gluten free choices.
Best bacon and egg roll I had during my one month stay in Sydney, with the absolute best bacon, and had it twice during my trip. Also, the only place that serves a good proper gluten free roll with the gluten free bacon and egg roll (the further away roll in picture). Stays shady for most of the morning in Summer so great for hotter days. Coffee is great as well. Highly recommend!
Probably the beast breakfast I've ever had! It was so good! I ordered the overnight oats and I'm telling you - it tastes like a piece of heaven 🙏 If you only have time for one place to go to while in Manly it should be here. My best recommendation goes to Girdlers cafe ❤️

Ever since I moved to Manly in Feburary, I’ve come to Girdlers most mornings, and it’s become one of my favourite spots. Many visitors head straight to the beach cafés for the view, which makes sense. But just two minutes away on Short Street Plaza is a quieter gem that’s easy to miss. The coffee is consistently excellent. The food is both tasty and genuinely healthy (I reccommend "The Benny" for breakfast). The staff go out of their way to learn your name and remember your order, and the conversations I’ve had here have been as good as the coffee. It’s the kind of place where you can meet friends or focus and get work done. An easy 5-Star recommendation.
