Very cool bar with epic design. Perfect for sitting and working outside and inside. Great service too. Lovely tall tables and lovely booths and smaller more intimate chairs. I loved the design and the fact that they serve draughts Kirin. Highly recommended.

Nice variety of house wines from the region. Penfolds was nice. The Mocha coffee & the Matcha Latte were also good, thank you.

We dined at Exchange Lane at the Marriott Hotel Adelaide, which opened in August 2024. The space is modern, cosy, and high-endโ€”an absolute delight from the moment we stepped in. The reception area features a beautifully displayed โ€œWinery of the Monthโ€ menuโ€”May 2025 showcases Hentley Farm, offering great value and a compelling reason to dine in. We did encounter a minor service issue: although we arrived before another couple and were ready to order, they were attended to first. It would have been a better experience if the staff had acknowledged our readiness and taken our order first, and be a bit more attentive. That said, we ordered the Beauty Shiraz from Hentley Farm and enjoyed the atmosphere overall. The vibe was vibrant and stylish. Looking forward to returning soon! Forget to mention, the food serve til late here, 10:30pm๐Ÿคฉ

It's not too easy to discover the Marriott Hotel or their beautiful cafe / lounge, Exchange Lane, which is just located at the G/F. This is merely because this newly opened 5-star hotel, which has been opened since 22 August 2024, was built on top of an inner corner of the historical building, the beautiful General Post Office (GPO was built in 1872). When you are walking along the Junction between the King William Street and the Franklin Street, what you can see is just a beautiful GPO building but not the Marriott Hotel facades or the Exchange Lane cafe shop front. Even their main entrance door is still the historical door that perhaps was erected 153 years ago. Therefore, I omitted it for weeks after my initial arrival to Adelaide until one day I came closer to a little back lane at the back of the GPO as I was so curious for long why this back lane was illuminated so bright at night and looked like there was a bar or pub. Since then I know there is a luxury 5-star hotel, Marriott Hotel, and there is a also a cafe/lounge called Exchange Lane. However, I haven't tried the coffee or food in Exchange Lane until today. I would expect the coffee being offered in a 5-star luxury would be more expensive. I would say the price of coffee was just the same (even slightly cheaper in some cases) as most other cafes in the Adelaide city. The ambience and sitting, including the chairs, tables, high chairs and high tables and outdoor sittings etc. are all perfectly arranged and very comfortable. The coffee tasted good, though not up to exceptional standard. I didn't look at the food menu, but it looks like some people came here for lunch during my visit. I believe their food are reasonably priced too, so I will check it out next time when I come here again for a "luxury coffee" by paying a standard price.๐Ÿคฉ PS: Just checked that Exchange Lane opens until 11:00 pm daily, so you can probably come to enjoy a glass of beer, wine or cocktail after work.

What a delightful surprise, a bar along the historic laneway, what was the old Grand Post Office building. Beautifully heritage frontage of the Marriott Hotel and modern chic and vibrant decor inside! Great spot for a casual bar meal or a more sophisticated after hours cocktails & drinks. Separate menu for the day until 3pm and offers a more extensive menu for afternoon into the night. Definitely be back to try the PM menu.
