Had solo breakfast at cuff this morning, after also being there same time the week before. It was busy and had a short wait, but the staff were very friendly. I ordered the Bircher museli and it was pretty tasty but a smaller size than I expected for the price. The coffee was nice but a little more bitter than Iโm used to. It was quite noisy inside, as youโd expect when itโs full.
We had a beautiful brunch at Cuff. The cafe is busy but service was efficient and the food fantastic. The presentation was beautiful, especially on the French toast type brioche dish. They also have some great signature drinks including the yummy pistachio iced latte. There was a good range of classic and creative options on the menu and some more lunch type options too. They also have dishes to cater to dietary requirements which I always appreciate as a vegetarian. Highly recommend this spot for your next CBD brunch outing.
The Florentine was pretty average, nothing noteworthy. The Chilli Scramble had a somewhat unusual combo of eggs, croissant, and chili. The Caramelised Honey Butter Brioche had lovely caramelized edges, though it got a bit too sweet by the end. The homemade strawberry jam was excellent โ fresh and naturally flavorful. The coffee, however, was awful โ weak, flat, with no aroma or richness at all.
One of my new favourites in Melbourne! If you really wanna have real Melbourne cafe experience then itโs the place for you. The staff is super friendly and kind and the food as well as coffee are amazing! I ordered chilli scrambled eggs and requested to swap chorizo with mushrooms which they agreed to but later on charged me extra for mushrooms (reason why I gave 4 stars) as they clearly said we will swap but then charged extra. Upon asking they reduced the charges. Thankful for that. Loved the cappuccino! Will definitely visit again.
Stopped in for a post-workout lunch while visiting Melbourne and were pleasantly surprised. The miso salmon green curry with vegetables really good. The vegetables and lemon were slightly charred, which really enhanced the flavour, and the green curry had a gentle spice without being overwhelming, a nice touch. The caramelised brioche was a highlight: just the right amount of sweetness, with a light crunch and beautifully balanced flavours. Weโd already had a big hotel breakfast, so this made for the perfect light yet satisfying lunch before our dinner plans. The staff were also very mindful of my dietary requirements, and the service throughout was attentive and thoughtful. We walked in during the Saturday lunch period, would recommend making a reservation if youโre planning a visit.
