Service was fast and the food was so much better than I expected. The menu looked great, but a lot of cafes struggle to execute the flavour profiles mentioned in their menus. The crew here absolutely nailed it 👌 we ordered the halloumi salad and the new roast pumkin foccacia dish and both were so flavourful and fresh. One of the best cafe meals I've had in a hot minute. We also ordered the frappe of the day and a Maple salted latte, which were interesting and unique and both delicious and well made. Staff were great, and the service was speedy and above and beyond; I had a super weird request for an ice pack. The server went out of her way to find me a bag to fill with ice and was very gracious about it. Me and my twisted ankle are still grateful 🙏 The atmosphere is lovely and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with the ability to reserve tables if required. I highly reccomend.

We were really disappointed that they had previously dropped their delicious crispy cauliflower side. We stopped in for lunch today and found that they've also dropped the crispy chicken with Asian salad too. So we didn't stay and won't be back! Response to comments from CI: Yes, it is true that this is a harsh review, and yes the cafe is perfectly entitled to change the menu. We've been visiting CI for a long time because the cauliflower and chicken dishes were so good. When the cauliflower dish was dropped, we expressed our disappointment to the staff, but kept coming because the chicken was so good. It did change over time, but was still delicious, so we kept coming. So when we turned up on Saturday and found that that it had been dropped as well, we were dismayed. We expressed our disappointment to the staff, but they didn't seem to know what dish we were talking about. Yes, there are two new chicken dishes, but they either have a creamy sauce or cheese, so not dishes that suit our tastes and nothing like the previous Asian salad. The review options on Google don't allow us to express just displeasure at the change of menu, and our (many) direct expressions of disappointment to the staff clearly had no effect, so this was our only means of expressing our feeling about the change of menu. It detracts nothing from what is a great cafe with great service, but it does express our great sense of loss that the one dish left that we really loved is no longer available

This cafe looked quite popular to younger generations, so they were a bit noisy during my visit. It was ok, as I hope I looked younger too. The services were great. It was probably my first experience of using an iPad to order food and drinks in a cafe. The staff were very friendly. The toastie and coffee were fantastic.

I had a wonderful experience at Commitment Issues Bar and Cafe . The food was delicious — the chicken waffle was crispy on the outside yet tender inside, and the smoked bacon was cooked perfectly. The coffee was beautifully presented and had a great flavor. The soft-boiled eggs were spot on, with perfect texture. The service was also great — friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended for both food and vibes!

The only down thing for me was I found the waffles themselves a bit overly sweet. Service was friendly. Parking was a bit tricky so better avoid peak time.
