Thereโ€™s a reason why Coffee Anthology is ranked among the worldโ€™s best coffee venues, ranked 8th in the world in 2025 according to the Worldโ€™s Best 100 Coffee list, and itโ€™s because of their commitment to excellence is everywhere you look. From the decor to the friendly and obliging staff, to menu selection and execution, few venues could lay claim to being coffee driven and focused in quiet the same way. My Panama Finca Auromar Catalina washed Geisha was simply wonderful as a pour over, with aromas of tobacco and blackcurrant, mixed with cheery fruits and ripe apricots. These flavours followed through on a palate of toasted almonds, apricots, and stewed fruits. Similarly my fillet of pan seared snapper on a bed of tomato ponzu, pickled fennel, and micro herb salad was also delicious, with the fish cooked to perfection, and the other ingredients hitting just the right notes of bitter sweet umami, complementing the coffee flavours perfectly! Highly recommended! Pro tip: ask the staff for their coffee recommendations and dunk a shot of espresso into the panna cotta!

Amazing coffee and tasty food, it was so good we went 2 days in a row. We're looking forward to going back next time we're in Meanjin (Brisbane) too. The only downside was there was a wait to get coffee after having waited to ask if we could get a table and then having to wait (for the third time) to actually get seated. (I'm sure there's a better way of doing that!) Just as well the food is incredible!

Great quality food and awesome coffee, especially their pour over Geisha coffees. Booking is a must as walk in may need to wait for table to become available. Good menu options from the kitchen and pastries from Whisk never disappoints. The front of house staff may get a bit busy and be a little impatient as a request for washroom key was met with a silent finger point to a hook on island counter. Otherwise an excellent dining experience and ambience as always.

Coffee Anthology: The Highly-Ranked Cafe in The World Right Here in Brisbane Following the buzz that Coffee Anthology had recently received a high mark on the world's best cafรฉs list, my partner and I made it a priority to head into Central Brisbane to see what all the hype was about. We arrived on a Saturday, and it was certainly busyโ€”but the moment we stepped inside, we understood why. The bakery display was absolutely stunning, acting as the immediate focal point. We selected two gorgeous pastries and delicacies to try alongside our coffees. The Verdict: Pastries Steal the Show As someone who has tried over 120 cafรฉs in the past year, I have a pretty high bar for coffee. While the cup at Coffee Anthology was lovely and well-prepared, the roast leaned a little sweet for my personal preference. It was a perfectly good brew, but in my opinion, the real winners were the pastries. They were visually gorgeous and tasted absolutely divineโ€”a true highlight of the visit. If you come here for anything, come for the bakery. Next Stop: The Weekday Rush Our visit has definitely cemented Coffee Anthology as a place we want to revisit. Next time, we would love to stop by during the week to experience the full hustle and bustle of the Brisbane business rush. We're keen to try their more substantial menu offerings for brunch, moving beyond the beautiful pastries to a more filling meal. Coffee Anthology has definitely earned its reputation, particularly for its incredible baked goods.

Rated one of the best coffee shops in the world, right here in Brisbane. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the experience. The staff were also very busy but still made the time to be nice to everyone. Thank you. The coffee and drinks were very nice as well. The drinks were smooth to drink and was well blended. The flavour was averaged out nicely when drinking. The drinks were also not hot, just the right temperature to drink. Nothing was overwhelming, too bitter or too sweet. It was an excellent experience. The only thing I could think of improving was the chai latte's depth of flavour. It just needed a little more of a kick and a bit more of the natural flavours to come out. But again they were very busy, I'll come back and try it when it's not as busy and see how it goes. It'll also give me a good chance to just sit and enjoy the beautiful building and atmosphere in the space.
