A fantastic night at Ciao Bella, the best cocktails served with such flair and all (many) of them PERFECT in every way. From the moment we walked in weโre treated like old friends, Luca the mixologist is the best Iโve met, talk about creating outstanding drinks and so entertaining. Nico the owner was one of the most engaging people you could met. A very cool bar with a great vibe.
Favorite place in Bondi. From breakfast to dinner and drinks, this is the place to be. Delicious fresh food, lively atmosphere and very friendly service. Nico and his team always do a splendid job. Thursday pasta night is amazing, and their DJ set on weekend always brings a vibe. Highly recommend.
What a hidden gem! Itโs super central too. Have eaten here a couple of times. The menu changes with the season so it keeps it nice and fresh. Went with a friend and we both had the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and goats cheese on sourdough. Delish. Nico is a fantastic host and very nice. In a Saturday itโs super fun with DJ and very social. . Thursday nights pasta and vino for $25. Luca is the most amazing mixologist - working his magic on Thursday to Saturdayโs. Itโs a Win win ๐
As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a warm โCiao Bella!โ and instantly felt at home. Nico and Luca welcomed me with genuine Italian hospitality and recommended a custom-made cocktail based on my taste preferences. It was crafted just for me โ fresh, original ingredients and absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is incredible โ stylish, relaxed, and full of positive energy. Great quality, fair prices, and a location you really canโt beat. On Fridays and Saturdays, they host aperitivo from 4 to 7 PM with a live DJ set โ the perfect way to kick off the weekend. I had a fantastic afternoon, thanks to Luca and Nico. Canโt wait to come back soon. Highly recommended!
Bondi owners can afford to use the best ingredients generously and charge like a pamplona bull. Here, they get the bull part, but not the generous quality ingredient part. The coffee is well made, as is the tea. Avocado toast in this area at $14 has a half avocado sliced on high-end sourdough. Here, the avocado is stretched out as a thin buttering that maybe uses half that required for the money. The toast bread is mediocre standard, but the price premium. This carries over to the $26 bruschetta on the same mediocre toast, with a whispered small slice of supermarket standard smoked salmon and the same hint of avocado. The burrata is decent, but the dish just doesn't stand up. The muffin was a brick of uniform texture and flavour, neither good nor bad. The service could only have cared less if...well, actually, they couldn't have cared less. Both visits were quiet. I was never greeted, offered information, saw any other customer spoken to when the tables were being cleared, spoken to beyond the name of the dish when delivered, or ever asked how we enjoyed what we had at any stage. It wouldn't take much to create the same queues here as we see around Bondi at the same time.
