i honestly haven’t had a worse dining experience in a while. heard amazing things about the fish pie but was immediately told that there was no fish pie and no focaccia available. we were the ONLY table in the restaurant (4 people) and it took 40+ mins for the food to come out. i don’t think i’ve ever waited so long for food in my life. the prices are extreme given the portions and the average taste. definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Visited for the English roast dinner. The food was incredible, the best roast we have had in Sydney so far. Meat was great quality and cooked perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal

We dined at Brown Sugar a few weekends ago and were absolutely blown away by the service and the food. We were served by Nina and she was warm, polite and an absolute joy!! She gave insightful recommendations on the food/ drink and stayed to chat with us too. The steak tartare and the fish pie were a standout for us!! Nina also was kind enough to surprise us with a lovely chocolate brownie for dessert for my brothers birthday.

Always a pleasant experience, great service and good food. Every time we’re going there we are not disappointed! Shout out to the Chicken à la monte with capers and Sultanas, I would have never thought of combining it and it was delicious! Everything else was really enjoyable too and the staff listened to our requests, we will be back very soon.

Brown Sugar really delivered — every dish hit the mark 👌🏼 Big props to the chef for a killer menu. That lamb and squid ink pasta were standouts 🔥. The dessert showcased great technique and balance — light, flavorful, and elegantly plated.
