老员外 Breakfast Hola
370 Queen St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
About
Their dishes were so comforting, especially during the cold days. Lamb noodle soup had perfect subtle depth of flavour, and the baos were just heavenly. It had the perfect fluffiness 🥰! We will definitely come back to try different dishes 😋 Come early to beat the crowd! Loved starting the day at Breakfast Hola. The space feels calm and welcoming, with simple wooden tables and soft morning light. Every dish tasted freshly made—from the crispy youtiao to the silky wontons—and the warm soy milk

The customer service was amazing, they opened early perfect place for breakfast. I loved the self serve soy milk (refillable soy milk it's the best) the food was amazing I loved the noodles and dumplings. The price is affordable I just loved the food. The place is a bit cosy but it's doesn't matter cause the food is really nice definitely will go there again. Kids friendly place as well.
Loved the Seaweed and egg drop soup and chive rolls. Everything was delicious and I'm excited to have an authentic Chinese breakfast nearby!!! I only hope they develop a good queuing system out the front of the store. When I went everyone waiting for a table was just awkwardly standing inside with no visual order or list for next available table, and it is a very small space. On that note I wouldnt go with a big group!
Loved starting the day at Breakfast Hola. The space feels calm and welcoming, with simple wooden tables and soft morning light. Every dish tasted freshly made—from the crispy youtiao to the silky wontons—and the warm soy milk was wonderfully smooth with free refills, which made the meal feel even more relaxed and generous. A perfect spot for an unhurried, hearty breakfast. ☀️ #genastar

im surprised this place doesn’t have more customers, i think it should be more famous based on how delicious everything was. got the pork bone broth with prawn dumplings (wonton soup), fried bread, sweet soy milk and steamed meat buns and wow, this is hands down the BEST chinese food i have ever had. the wonton wrapper was silky smooth and melted in my mouth and the filling was delicious. the pork bone broth was so umami and packed with flavour and soooo comforting. the first bread stick was crispy and soft in the middle and simply delicious. the fried buns were absolute perfection 🤩 the store was air conditioned, clean and super cozy. plus the staff were also so sweet and kind. this place needs to be hyped up more. so affordable as well! 100/10 highly recommended 🤍 we will be back!
