I’ve been coming to this cafe for over a year since moving to Surfers, and I’ve always enjoyed it. The recent rebrand looked promising. Unfortunately, today’s experience was embarrassing and disappointing. At 1:01pm, I asked the team member behind the counter three times whether they were still open for lunch. She seemed unsure, checked with the chef, and confirmed yes. My girlfriend and I grabbed menus and took a seat. Two minutes later, the same staff member came outside to tell us they were actually closed, and we were essentially ushered away. It felt abrupt and careless. A few questions for management: 1. If the menu says “breakfast & lunch,” when is lunch actually served if the cafe closes at 1pm? 2. Why are staff unsure about whether the kitchen is open? 3. If the cafe is closed, why is there no sign, chairs stacked, or any visible indication? I even brought the menus back inside so they wouldn’t blow away in the wind, which is more care than I received as a customer. This experience was appalling, and I won’t be returning for coffee, food, or snacks. I’ve recommended this place many times before, but not anymore. I've been to this Cafe a few times now before writing this review and it's been consistently good. Great portion sizes for then menu items. The coffee is made well and overall its a great experience. Glad to have this Cafe nearby as a local."

Came across this little gem on a recent visit to Surfers. They do simple, healthy dishes with vegetarian options available. My breakfast was the vegetarian stack with haloumi. A well presented dish with avocado, spinach & a hash brown on the side. Service was pleasant & the coffee was good too.

This café has such a chill vibe. The atmosphere isn’t busy at all; but don’t get me wrong, people definitely come here. Sometimes cafés dress themselves up like you’d have to spend heaps for a “grand” experience. This one is different. Its look is simple, humble, with a cute beachy feel, but the experience is absolutely unforgettable. As for the price, it’s affordable and you get so much value for what’s on your table. It’s not pricey at all, yet the quality is exceptional. The staff were also very accommodating. We didn’t get the chance to ask their names, but a huge thank you to them. My friends and I all left super happy.

Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise and highly accessible. The pancake tastes wonderful and has very nice food presentation, as well as the other food. The staff are nice and kind; they accommodated us as we came in a large group. Definitely will be back if I visit Surfers again!

Delicious Breakfast and Great Coffee! Classic Cafe did not disappoint! The breakfast was fantastic—I had a fresh fruit bowl, tasty smashed avocado, and pancakes that were so fresh and nice. Everything was perfect! The coffees were also great, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for a delightful breakfast!
